8am to 11am, Thursdays in Byron Bay and Saturdays in Bangalow.
The Byron Farmers' Market began as a dream – an inspiration from local farmers, growers, environmentalists and families who wanted all the positive effects of a growers market in their area. After a lot of hard work lobbying, liaising with council, market research and a fair amount of time, we have two very successful farmers markets at Byron Bay and Bangalow.
Operating since 2002, the Byron Farmers' Market is held every Thursday morning from 8am to 11am.
With the success of Thursday's market as encouragement, in 2004 the Byron Farmers' Market Association started a farmers market in the neighbouring town of Bangalow. This market is held every Saturday morning from 8am to 11am.
This Byron Farmers' Market at Byron Bay and Bangalow provide as much variety as the seasons allow.
The farmers' markets have a lovely ambience and an ever-growing membership, range of produce and products, and regular customers.
The Byron Farmers' Market Association has supplied many happy customers with a healthy grass-root alternative, while the farmers involved have access to a rapidly growing market.
The farmers' market is an exercise in community-based sustainable agriculture. It is also a place where people meet, swap recipes, try new and exotic flavours, share hints on successful gardening, and discuss the weather and local issues. See you there!!
