At Tsonga our philosophy is to provide every one of our customers with a pair of unique, hand-stitched shoes, while also providing fair and ethical conditions for every one of our staff.
Our factory is located in a small village in KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. As the largest employer in the area, we have over 400 workers. The ladies who hand stitch our shoes earn, on average, 150% more then the minimum wage in South Africa. Our fair and ethical factory complies with South African labour laws. We also provide a creche and daily meal program for our workers' children, and provide medical assistance through a visiting mobile medical team. We are currently implementing a progressive HIV program to educate, treat and help with HIV AIDS.
